Change in Johne’s PCR Testing (Effective Oct. 3, 2017)
  1. Requests for Johne’s/Mycobacterium paratuberculosis (MAP) PCR for regulatory purposes (e.g., sale, interstate/international shipment, etc.) ADDL will forward specimens to an alternate AAVLD-accredited laboratory pending completion of the required USDA-APHIS proficiency test on or about April 2018.
  2. ADDL will continue to offer Johne’s/MAP PCR for routine diagnostics and general herd screening.

We regret this inconvenience, and will be able to perform regulatory PCR testing immediately upon completion of the required proficiency test and USDA approval. Please feel free to contact Dr. Steve Lenz or Dr. Craig Bowen if you have questions regarding testing in specific situations.
