Clinical Pathology Submissions

To assure reliable results from the Clinical Pathology Laboratory to aid in your diagnostic work-up of a patient, the proper sample must be submitted to the laboratory. Submissions of serum samples on the clot or anticoagulated whole blood are analytes and cellular elements can occur. There changes can result in either interference with the testing procedures or incorrect measurements for the particular analyte in question. Both directly interfere with your ability to accurately assess potential abnormalities in your patient. Listed below are the recommendations for routine submissions. If there are any questions related to a particular test, contact the laboratory for assistance.
