Dr. Leon
Thacker, Director of the Purdue Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory was
presented the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine 2004 Award for
Excellence in Engagement. The award was presented at the annual Purdue
University Fall Conference for Veterinarians in September, 2004.
Dr Thacker
was also awarded the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association President's Award
at the annual meeting in Indianapolis, January, 2005. |

Dr. Ching
Ching Wu, Chief of Microbiology Services/Avian Laboratory Services at the ADDL
was selected as the recipient of the 2005 Pfizer Award for Research Excellence.
Dr. Wu also
received the Purdue Agriculture 2005 Team Award as part of a team headed by Dr.
Al Heber of Agricultural Engineering. |

Dr. Dinesh
Singh was nominated
by the Omicron chapter of the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine Phi Zeta
Honor Society for the National Phi Zeta award under the Basic Research category
for his manuscript "Comparative Transduction Efficiency of Human and Nonhuman Adenoviral
Vectors in Human, Murine, Porcine, and Bovine Cells in Culture". |
